Zach Knight

Co-Founder and Partner, Blue Forest Conservation

Zach Knight is a co-founder and the managing partner of Blue Forest Conservation, a boutique deal development and asset management firm focused on conservation finance. Supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, Blue Forest Conservation is developing the Forest Resilience Bond, a pay for success financing aimed at deploying private capital to accelerate forest restoration treatments on National Forest System land, initially focused in the Western United States.

Prior to founding Blue Forest Conservation, Zach began his career at Merrill Lynch, where he worked in structured finance and credit derivative structuring. After a subsequent four years as a high yield and distressed bond trader, Zach left Wall Street to earn an MBA with honors from UC-Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Zach has a B.A. in economics from Cornell University.
